FAO World Reference Laboratory for Foot-and-Mouth Disease
Minor outbreaks of possible foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) are believed to have occurred in Australia in 1801, 1804, 1871 and 1872. FMD has not occurred in this region since 1872.
