Affected population: Cattle belonging to several farmers graze together on one farm and also dip together at the same dip tank. Cattle mostly older than 12 months were affected.

Epidemiological comments: Cattle mix during grazing and dipping, though kraaled [penned] at different households.

[In May 2022, 10 outbreaks of FMDV-SAT 2 were reported in cattle on neighboring farms in Guruve and Centenary, Mashonaland Central. According to the epidemiological comments: "All infected districts remain under strict quarantine with weekly livestock inspections in and around the infected areas. Control vaccinations were carried out with 21 992 cattle vaccinated out of [24 472] giving a good vaccination coverage of 89.5%."
